Arabian Scandinavian Insurance Company (ASCANA), is a Dubai Financial Market (DFM) listed company. The company has team strength of 75 professionals and operates through their offices in the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The Company holds the license of a composite insurance company and is also licensed to write medical insurance by Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD).

History

ASCANA was established in 1978 in cooperation with a group of entrepreneurs from Scandinavian countries, however, in 1992, ASCANA became a wholly National owned Company when the shareholders infused more capital to meet the minimum statutory requirements.

ASCANA, currently, is a 100% Emirati owned insurance company, headed by its Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Butti Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, who is from the reigning Ruling Family of Dubai. The Chairman also owns 18.60% of the Company’s equity.
